Later, while Wasabi treated his wounds, Boruto voiced his dismay at Kakashi's words. While Boruto apologised for being a bad influence, his friends strongly insisted that Kakashi was wrong; that Boruto has helped them all come so far despite their own personal problems.

Convinced that they would still prove Kakashi wrong, the group realised the true nature of the test. Boruto then designed a plan for everyone to both save their captured team-mates and get the bell.

After succeeding in the first part, the group went to face Kakashi. As Kakashi continued to disparage Boruto, the boy refused to give up, teaming up with his class-mates to attack.

Kakashi easily repelled their assault, noting that they were still too scattered, but was then caught in a group- String Light Formation.

As Boruto struggled against the restrain Hokage to get the bell, time finally ran out. Despite the plan failing, Kakashi passed everyone, noting that they succeeded in the true goal of the test: team-work and loyalty.

Shino then revealed that everyone's headbands were in fact Konoha forehead protectors, proof of their full-fledged status. Soon after Boruto was assigned to Team 3 with Mitsuki and Sarada with their squad leader being Konahamaru.

Soon with unanimous decision they pleaded to the Hokage so their squad be changed to Team 7 instead of Team 3, a request Naruto granted.

Main article: Genin Mission Arc. Naruto present Team 7 their first mission which involved aiding Green Banks against bandits.

Upon arriving, the team learned that the bandits were actually ninja, resulting in Konohamaru questioning if they should continue the mission as it was probably too difficult for genin to face trained shinobi.

While Konohamaru discussed the matter with Kiri , the village is attacked by Ashimaru , leading to Boruto engaging him until Konohamaru fends off the assailant before retreating.

Kiri explained that the shinobi were attacking the village to presure her into handing them the deed to the village's bridge.

During the night, Team 7 discovered several villages were being controlled by genjutsu and subdued them. Discovering Kiri was abducted during the incident, Team 7 met with the perpetrators to exchange for the deed for her.

After the exchange occurred, Hidari and Ashimaru decide on killing them all, prompting Konohamaru to task the genin in fleeing with Kiri.

Pursued by Ashimaru, the genin engaged the missing-nin and defeated him using Boruto Stream with Mitsuki and Sarada.

Completing the mission and returning to Konoha, Boruto inquired into how his peers during first missions and bragged about facing shinobi.

Main article: Byakuya Gang Arc After Boruto talked a would-be terrorist into giving up during a team mission at the Konoha Bank , they discovered it's vault was robbed during the distraction, which Sarada deduced was accomplished using Ice Release.

Donning a disguise with Mitsuki, Boruto pretended to be interested in buying the stolen jewel. Attempting to apprehend the seller , their plans fails, leading to the thief retreating.

Pursuing him, he leads them to a village, where he said he had already sold the stolen gold and used the money to repair the village's water distributing system.

Before retreating, the thief explains that his group are noble in their actions, unlike the rich who profit off the poor, leading to Boruto wondering who was really in the wrong.

With the continued thefts performed by the Byakuya Gang throughout Konoha, Team 7 and other genin teams were assigned to help stop the thieves only when accompanied by a higher ranked shinobi.

Shortly later, the pair are confronted by a Byakuya Gang member who was being pursued by Temari. Requesting for the two's assistance, Boruto attacked with his clones followed by Temari repelling the thief out sight, resulting in them escaping.

When protesters began accusing the Kaminarimon Company of corrupt practises, Boruto suspects that the Byakuya Gang is behind it.

While Team 7 is stationed in their position, Boruto noticed Team 10 breaking formation, leading to him investigating the matter.

Learning that Shikadai believed the Ninjutsu Research Centre is the Byakuya Gang's real target, the four hurried to the building, where they discovered the thieves had stolen Katasuke's Magnum Opus.

Confronting the thieves on the Thunder Train they jumped on, the genin are trapped and Boruto placed under genjutsu. Thinking Shikadai is an enemy, they fought until Shikadai released the genjutsu.

Instead, he decided to go train while letting Himawari spend the day with their father. Boruto stepped into make sure the competition continued fairly.

Later, he found to his surprise that Sasuke had returned to the village. He explained the situation of the new holiday and decided to back off on training with Sarada so she could enjoy the holiday with her travelling father.

Later, after learning that Sarada was getting embarrassed and annoyed by Sasuke's naive attempts to bond with her, Boruto pointed that neither of them really know much about the other, but rather should just enjoy the time together.

Ultimately, Boruto's advice helped the Uchiha duo reconnect and in gratitude, Sarada told Boruto his own advice of just being more casual with his own father.

That night, Boruto received a custom shuriken as a present from Naruto and the two decided to train together for the remainder of the evening.

In the anime, after completing a bodyguard mission, Boruto becomes frustrated as a pair of shinobi judge him for being the Hokage's son. Recalling that Naruto didn't turn up for his birthday party, he headed to the Ninjutsu Research Centre where Katasuke gave him a late birthday present.

Returning home, Boruto promises Himawari that he'll make sure that Naruto comes home for her upcoming birthday. When the team gets their next mission, Konohamaru debriefs it before preparing to depart in a hour.

While waiting, Boruto encounters Naruto, leading to him apologising for not coming home for his birthday the other day.

Stating he doesn't care, Boruto made Naruto promise that he'll be home for Himiwari's. Travelling to their destination by train, the team is informed one of the robbers they were hired to capture was already imprisoned in the village.

Learning that the criminals associates were all killed in the nearby mine, Team 7 ventured in to investigate, during which they are attacked by a White Zetsu.

Using Konohamaru's strategy, the the team eliminate the Zetsu. After Naruto was informed of the news, Konohamaru discussed the discovery with his clone, which annoyed Boruto that they were being left in the dark about the matter.

Several months after graduating, during a mission to catch a rampaging bear, Konohamaru tested his Kote.

Boruto is very intrigued by the device. While later reporting the bear's successful capture to Naruto, Boruto brags that he could have completed the mission on his own.

Naruto tried lecturing him on the importance of teamwork, which Boruto felt he has no right to do since they never spent time together.

Rather than continue the argument, Boruto reminded Naruto that it was Himawari's birthday and warned him not to forget it before storming out.

Boruto is uninterested despite the fact that they must all enter as a team and resumes playing his video game with Shikadai and Inojin, before running into Hinata and Himawari and returning home to celebrate his sisters birthday.

Their celebration is cut short when Naruto's Shadow Clone disappeared, enraging Boruto that his father couldn't bother to come to Himawari's birthday.

When he heard a knock on the front door, he opened it and swung a punch believing it was his father, but instead was Sasuke, who intercepted the attack.

Looking for Naruto, Sasuke leaves. Shortly after, Boruto approaches him and asks for Sasuke to make him his student, which Sasuke accepts on the condition Boruto learned the Rasengan.

Afterwards, Boruto went to Konohamaru's home and asked him to teach him the Rasengan, which Konohamaru eagerly agrees to. They started training the next day.

He eventually learned to create a Rasengan on his own after several days of arduous training. He demonstrated it to Sasuke, who noted how small his Rasengan was.

Boruto wrongly assumed this meant that Sasuke rejected him, so he borrowed the Kote from its inventor: Katasuke , so that he can instantly create normal-sized Rasengan.

Boruto demonstrated "his" Rasengan to Sasuke again. Although Sasuke noticed the Kote, he said nothing and agrees to train Boruto, during which he learns shurikenjutsu and his father's background.

On the day of the exams' first stage, the competing teams are given a true or false question. When Boruto and his team select their answer they are dumped into a pit, which Boruto, assuming this means they've failed, makes no effort to save himself from.

Sarada and Mitsuki prevent him from falling into the ink at the bottom of the pit, which is the first stage's true objective and thus permits them to continue to the second stage.

Naruto sends Boruto a congratulatory email when he hears the news; Boruto is upset that Naruto didn't send at least a shadow clone instead.

Three days later during the second stage some time later, the teams compete against each other in games of capture the flag.

While Sarada and Mitsuki go off to capture the opposing team's flag, Boruto defends their own, believing he and his four shadow clones give him an advantage over the other team's three members.

When the Three Senka Brothers make two shadow clones each, Boruto is quickly outnumbered and his flag is nearly captured. While initially reluctant, he eventually uses the Kote to perform a combination of elemental attacks to defeat them, allowing Boruto's team to continue to the finals.

While Boruto recuperates at home later, Naruto visits him in person to state his pride in him and encourage him not to lose to Shikadai; Boruto remarks afterwards that Naruto's brief words could have been put in an email, but he is nevertheless moved to tears by his father coming to see him.

On the day of the final exam, the competing genin are scheduled in a series of one-on-one tournament matches, with Boruto facing Yurui.

Unable to engage him, Boruto used hit Koto to defeat Yurui. Afterwards, Boruto faced Shikadai, where after being caught by his shadow , he relied on using his Kote to pressure Shikadai into surrendering.

While in the manga Naruto noticed Boruto cheating and subsequently disqualified him from the tournament, in the anime his cheating goes unnoticed, leading to him progressing to the finals against Sarada and Shinki.

During the match, though he teamed up with Sarada against Shinki, their opponent managed to defeat Sarada, before Boruto relied on using his Kote to overpower Shinki's Iron Sand to win.

Noticing Boruto's use of the tool, Naruto disqualified Boruto from the tournament and from being a ninja. Attacking Momoshiki in a panic with his Kote, all his techniques are absorbed , before Naruto returned to save him and regroup with Sarada and Sasuke.

Momoshiki then launched a barrage of elemental techniques towards the group, which Naruto blocked with Kurama 's assistance.

Naruto instructed Sasuke to focus on protecting Boruto and Sarada while he engaged Momoshiki, during which Boruto calls out to him before losing consciousness from Momoshiki's large scale attack.

Waking up in hospital, he learned that Naruto was captured, and runs to the Hokage's Office , where he puts on his father's old jacket and feels guilty for his attitude towards him.

He is then approached by Sasuke, who invited Boruto to rescue his father. Accompanied with the Four Kage , the group departed through Sasuke's portal.

On seeing Boruto, Naruto tries to apologise for not being around more, but Boruto replies that it's okay, although he asks that Naruto start telling him about when he was younger instead of lecturing him.

Naruto joins the battle and Momoshiki, despite absorbing Kinshiki to try and gain the upper-hand, is defeated. However, Katasuke arrives to lend assistance and attacks Momoshiki with the Kote, only to inadvertently rejuvenate him and allow him to capture the Kage.

With encouragement from Sasuke, Boruto attacks Momoshiki with his small Rasengan, which forces him to release the Kage. Naruto is impressed that Boruto was able to learn the Rasengan and, still unable to move, adds his own chakra to Boruto's Rasengan, making it gigantic.

Sasuke helps Boruto get a shadow clone close enough to Momoshiki to blind his Rinnegan with a kunai, preventing him from absorbing Boruto's Rasengan and thus leaving him unable to dodge it, killing Momoshiki.

However upon investigating the remains of the God Tree, Momoshiki reappears before Boruto, freezing time for everybody but himself and Boruto to give Boruto a cryptic warning that someone who defeats a god ceases to be a normal person then gives him a seal on his palm.

When Momoshiki fades away into mist, time resumes for everyone and they return to Konoha. In the anime, Boruto and Himawari shared a belated birthday dinner, with Naruto even appearing in person instead of sending a shadow clone.

After Boruto punched Naruto, thinking it was a shadow clone, Naruto began scolding him, while Himawari asked for a piggy back ride.

Hinata maintained order by threatening to throw the cake away. Boruto no longer has disdain for the Hokage title, though he still doesn't want to be Hokage.

Instead, he decides to support Sarada in her dream of being Hokage, just as Sasuke supports Naruto.

Mitsuki finds all the discussion about their parents interesting but insists that Naruto and Sasuke have nothing on his parent: Orochimaru.

Sarada is at first shocked, and then ponders whether Orochimaru is Mitsuki's mother or father, while Boruto — becoming continuously more frustrated by Mitsuki and Sarada ignoring his question, demands to know who Orochimaru is.

At some point, Boruto tells Sasuke about the seal on his palm, to which he warns Boruto to be on guard.

Boruto and his team were assigned to watch Ashina, who much to their chagrin was a prima donna who basically made the team act as her personal servants.

Later, a masked attacker managed to capture Tomaru. Shikadai and Boruto noted that this situation was no making sense as the attacker suddenly changed tactics form murder to ransom.

During the exchange, as Konohamaru already captured the attacker and disguised himself as the Ame-nin, Ashina was revealed to be the mastermind behind the assaults as she desperately wanted to rekindle her fame as an actress.

In a last blind effort to keep her fame by burying the truth, she attempted to blow up the area. While Konohomaru stopped her from using them, the explosive tags went off, causing a landslide, which the Konoha-nin quickly saved the spectators from.

Afterwards, Ashina was arrested. Main article: Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc. Afterwards, the Kage informed the genin what the hardest stone was.

The next day, all missions were suspended due to an attack at the villages gate, which Boruto and Sarada eventually learned involved Mitsuki, who was being branded as a traitor, as well as him being the son of Orochimaru.

Not believing his teammate was a traitor, Boruto ventured to where the attack took place, during which he found one of Mitsuki's snakes that said his actions were his own will.

Despite the village being in lock down, Boruto and Sarada decided to go to Orochimaru's laboratory with the snake for answers.

Upon arriving, he learned that Mitsuki was one of many clones, before meeting Orochimaru. Boruto showed Orochimaru the snake Mitsuki left behind in hopes of finding any hidden messages.

Unable to extract information from it, he suggested they consult the White Snake Sage about the matter. While managing to separating Moegi Kazamatsuri from her team, Boruto and Sarada were subdued by the genin.

When Shikadai learned of Mitsuki's snake containing a message, he decided to aid the pair in their journey, followed by his teammates joining them.

Having passed, the group entered the cave and met the White Snake Sage, who agreed to analyse the snake if the shinobi brought her Garaga's Reverse Scale, which they agreed to.

Soon after, the group were attacked by Garaga, prompting Aoda to come to Sarada's aid and allow the shinobi to escape.

Afterwards, Aoda introduced itself to the shinobi, leading to them devising a plan to acquire the scale. After engaging the snake again, Boruto became connected with Garaga's mental plane, during which Garaga said he wished to see Boruto hopes be crushed.

Deciding not to take the scale, Boruto instead entered a summoning contract with the snake, on the condition that he could eat the shinobi if Mitsuki had betrayed Boruto.

Returning to the sage , he presented the scale to her by summoning Garaga, prompting her to show Mitsuki's snake's memories to the shinobi.

As the other genin continued their pursuit, they found the remains of a clay creature , which Boruto recognised as the same thing that attacked Mitsuki's snake.

The man quickly revealed himself to be an artificial being with superhumanly augmented abilities.

They were intercepted by another one of the gate attacks, Sekiei , who noted that Mitsuki was with them willingly.

He initially held them off with his Explosive Clay , until Boruto summoned Garaga, who initially refused to help until his might was questioned by Boruto.

As Sekiei struggled to dodge Garaga's assault, his body suddenly gave out. While Boruto attempted to finish him off, Mitsuki appeared to save Sekiei.

He made his intention to join the artificial humans clear as he subdued Boruto before departing. Unknowingly venturing in the Sanzu Plains , the two became trapped until being joined by Sekki , who assisted the pair in escaping.

Wanting to prove his point, he decided to take Boruto to the site where his grandson was killed. Afterwards, the shinobi are re-joined by Inojin under Kirara 's genjutsu, who then takes Boruto hostage, forcing his group to be captured and taken back to Iwa.

Shikadai appeared and helped his allies escape. Going after him while Mitsuki faced Sekiei, the pair faced Kirara and her giant Akuta.

Summoning Garaga to destroy the golem, it collapsed on top of Kirara, leading to her being killed. Engaging him in battle, Boruto and Sarada became trapped under rubble, during which Sekki freed them.

Afterwards, the genin approached the drained Tsuchikage, who spoke to them about the importance of keeping one's will strong before passing away.

Team 7 was then found by their allies from Konoha and they all welcomed Mitsuki back. Returning home, Garaga contacted Boruto to inform him that their contract was up, and the two parted ways.

The following day, Boruto and Sarada were punished for their technical desertion by having their shinobi status revoked. Mitsuki apologised for his recent actions and admitted to the shameless curiosity of wanting to connect with people that were more like him.

Boruto however quickly accepted his apology and admitted he was glad that he got the chance to better understand Mitsuki as a person, hoping to learn more about each other, with Sarada also agreeing to it.

Later, due to Kurotsuchi's gratitude and recommendation, it was decided that Team 7 genin's shinobi status would be restored. In the anime, some time later, Team 7 and the genin of Team 15 went on a mission to investigate attacks on a village from its wildlife.

Accompanied by Tosaka , the group were attacked by birds and separated. Finding himself attacked by a monstrous man , Boruto was saved by Nue.

They watched as the strain of curing the birds caused him to transform, retreating to his cave. After the episode, Boruto refused to leave and continued investigating.

When researchers from the Land of Rivers asked for information, Boruto lied and said they knew nothing. Over the next couple days, the group continued working on the birds.

Boruto spotted a domesticated goose among the wilds ones, and Tosaka commented on its species having lost the ability to fly.

Boruto and Sarada go over the remaining shots, and wondered their options once they ran out. Learning that Wasabi and Namida were unconscious and infected with cursed seals, they requested Tosaka to help them with his expertise.

After the genin reluctantly left the village, they found Sumire after she was knocked out Suigetsu , who insisted he acted in self-defence.

When Sumire awoke, she explained that two assailants who captured Wasabi Izuno and Namida Suzumeno had special collars that let them harness cursed seals of their own.

Realising that this duo was working with the Land of Rivers' researchers, they concluding that the outbreak must have been started by them.

Mitsuki arrived with Konohamaru and Suigetsu, who consumed with serum to cure the birds and merged with the lake to rain it over them.

When they returned, Boruto was shocked to learn Mirai's mission ended up saving several girls from remnants of the near-forgotten Jashin cult.

They were also given a special tracking-pig named Tonsuke that could locate the flowers by scent. The mission progressed roughly as Wasabi and Iwabee kept bickering with each other.

The mission became even more difficult when they were attacked by bandits and stole Tonsuke. Fed up with his team-mates not listening to him, Shikadai decided to handle the rest of the mission alone.

As Boruto caught up to Shikadai, he realised that his best friend had injured his leg. Iwabee and Wasabi then caught up, allowing the friends to make amends.

Main article: Konohamaru's Love Arc In the anime, Konohamaru and Boruto saw a woman running away from several men in the village, prompting Konohamaru to rescue her from them.

Introducing herself as Remon Yoimura and a sightseer, Boruto showed her around the village, during which she and Konohamaru became fond of each other.

Later, it was revealed that Remon was a noblewoman who was dodging her bodyguards and had the responsibility to return.

Upon arriving at her mansion, they were surprised to see Remon preparing for a ceremony, and was uncharacteristically demanded to never see her again.

Having found a lost girl from Daidai Village they returned the child home, during which they felt that something was wrong, and snuck back into Remon's home to talk with her.

Learning about her village being plagued by a memory stealing spirit that her ancestor sealed away at the cost of her descendants being cursed, the pair were also informed that a special marriage ritual was needed to restore the weakened seal.

Accepting that this was Remon's choice, Konohamaru decided to take Boruto back to Konoha. Before they could, Remon's caretaker Asaki asked the pair to investigate Kankitsu as he had recently began acting out of character.

Accepting the request, the two found nothing unusual. While waiting for Asaki to show up to report to, Boruto discovered Asaki had lost her memory of their encounter.

As she brushed him off, he followed Asaki who was following Kankitsu into a cave. There, Kankitsu was preparing to destroy Remon's hair clip only to be stopped by Asaki.

Watching as a mysterious energy was emitted from Kankitsu, Boruto protected Asaki from this new threat, during which Asaki shielded Boruto from an attack and collapsed.

Boruto soon found himself in a similar outcome, but while the hair clip suppressed some of the effect, Boruto forget the last few days.

Returning to Konoha, he was amazed to hear about Konohamaru being placed under house arrest after trespassing into a nearby village.

As Boruto began experiencing recent things throughout the village, he ultimately regained his memories. He reported to Konohamaru that it was Kankitsu who was stealing people's memories.

Despite the house arrest, Konohamaru joined Boruto in settling the matters. Unable to defeat the demon, Remon sealed it in herself at the cost of her memories.

Konohamaru decided to leave Remon in Kankitsu care, despite Boruto insisting that he should tell Remon how he felt about her. Main article: One-Tail Escort Arc In the anime, as everyone had time off from missions, Boruto's family was preparing to go on a camping trip with Hinata's side of the family.

Boruto however was growing bored and wished to resume training under his mentor Sasuke. When noticing Sasuke's hawk flying into the village, he sneaked into the Hokage's office building and discovered Sasuke was heading to the Land of Wind.

Seeing this as an opportunity to meet up with him, Boruto lied to his family about being assigned a training mission before sneaking onto a train to the Land of Wind.

There, he discovered Sasuke and Gaara fighting Urashiki, during which Sasuke transported to another dimension.

Returning to the scene alone, he encountered Temari and Shikadai. They found evidence of a hole being dug as a means to escape the explosion, prompting the Konoha-nin to catch up with Shinki.

When they did, they discovered he was facing a damaged puppet. While Temari and Shikadai held off the puppet, Boruto helped Shinki and Shukaku get to safety before returning to defeat the puppet.

Knowing Urashiki would soon escape and intercept them again at the Land of Fire border, they decided Boruto would distract Urashiki with a clone disguised as Shinki and carrying an empty tea kettle while Shukaku and Shinki went on ahead.

While distracting Urashiki for a period of time, the foe soon realised the truth and decided to take Boruto as a hostage for the Hokage.

Shinki however decided to return to the battlefield to aid Boruto. Managing to injure Urashiki, the pair was saved by Sasuke, who forced their foe to retreat.

Afterwards, Shukaku stayed at the Uzumaki house for a brief period until a safehouse was organised, during which Naruto informed Boruto about the tailed beasts.

Main article: Time Slip Arc In the anime, after being told by Hinata he was just like Naruto at that age, always eager to train with his mentor Jiraiya , Boruto became intrigued to learn more about the Sannin.

He then went to Sasuke's house only to find Sarada. Together, the pair decided to search for the author's Icha Icha series, during which different adults insisted that they were too young to read his adult books.

Later, when Boruto learned he was the only genin that not on the mission to hunt Urashiki due to Urashiki's vendetta against Boruto, Sasuke suggested that he work with Boruto as a two-man team while staying within the village, which Naruto agreed to.

That night, the majority of the village's shinobi left the village in an attempt to corner Urashiki.

His hunch led him and Sasuke to discovering Urashiki activating the artefact to create a portal he entered. Following him, Sasuke managed to separate Urashiki from the item before being transported away from him.

Arriving in Konoha, the pair discovered they have arrived in the past, shortly after Tsunade became Hokage. Realising Urashiki's plan was to acquire Kurama's chakra from Naruto as a child, Sasuke asked the artefact Karasuki about the enemy, which explained that due to Sasuke's interference, Urashiki would not arrive in this time period for a few days, and warned them to avoid as much interaction with the past as possible or risk severe changes to the timeline.

Listening to the advice, Sasuke and Boruto disguised themselves. Soon afterwards, Boruto and Sasuke bumped into Naruto and Jiraiya.

When Tsunade arrived, they claimed to be travelling performers. Tsunade had Naruto and Jiraiya guard the pair, which soon after, Jiraiya left Naruto to take care of alone.

After Sasuke slipped away to keep his distance, Naruto brought Boruto to his house, during which Boruto noted the resemblance between his father's young and current-self.

Later, Boruto would continue intriguing Naruto about the modern advances of the village that he comes from.

He then met the Konoha 11 , amazed at how all the future parents were in childhood, including to finally meet his late-cousin Neji and embarrassed at seeing his past mother shyly interact with her crush of Naruto.

Later, Naruto was assigned to clean up the hot spring as punishment for his and Jiraiya's commotion there the other day. Boruto and the other genin helped out.

Through the following days, Boruto deduced the truth about past-Sasuke's absence was due to abandoning the village.

He confronted his master about the event, who shamefully admitted that at the time, he was so fixated on getting his revenge, he felt he had to.

The following day, Urashiki arrived and found Naruto, where Boruto and Sasuke stood prepared to fight and protect Naruto.

Urashiki acted quickly and struck Naruto with his hook, shocked to see that it failed to gain any chakra.

Deciding the best course was to capture Naruto, Urashiki subdued Naruto and trap Boruto and Sasuke, along with Jiraiya, who happened along inside a stone prison.

Sasuke explained to Jiraiya that he and Boruto were actually ninja from a distant village with a mission to stop Urashiki from stealing Kurama's chakra and that Urashiki had ties to Akatsuki.

While seeing that they were still hiding some truth, Jiraiya decided to work with the duo, breaking them free by summoning a giant toad.

Soon, Sasuke locked onto Naruto's location from detecting the tailed beast's chakra beginning to leak out. Along the way, having realised that the seal containing Kurama was stopping Urashiki from stealing the demon's chakra, Jiraiya placed powerful seals on Boruto and Sasuke to protect them as well.

Upon finding Naruto, Urashiki's actions forced the boy into his Version 1 state. While Sasuke engaged Urashiki, Jiraiya went to deal with the rampaging Naruto.

Boruto however refused to believe that his father would lose himself so easily and tried to reach him peacefully.

At first, Boruto's kindness was calming Naruto. His chakra also proved compatible with Kurama's red chakra. But soon after, the rising rage in Naruto caused him to attack his future son.

This forced Jiraiya to use his Chakra-Suppressing Seal to subdue the fox's chakra and knock Naruto out.

After Urashiki retreated and Naruto regain consciousness, Jiraiya suggested training Naruto and Boruto together, knowing the foe would return and believed that with the two children's compatible nature, they would do good to learn work together.

The following day, Jiraiya began instructing Boruto and Naruto on how to synchronise their chakra for the goal of developing a unique new cooperation ninjutsu.

The task proved very difficult as Boruto's lingering fear of Naruto from the recent attack made it impossible for him to synchronise with his future father.

As Boruto saw Naruto feeling upset at the thought of hurting him, Boruto apologised and left the area, and subsequently cursed himself for abandoning Naruto, deeming himself as a horrible individual for possibly emotionally hurting Naruto.

After the training came to an end, Neji confronted Boruto, having noticed him through his Byakugan , and seeing that he was troubled, offered to talk to him.

The two head to a nearby bridge, where Boruto admitted to having been exposed to the berserk power inside of Naruto and talked about being attacked.

Neji insisted that Naruto is not one to pity and that could be trusted. Neji told Boruto of his own experience and growth with Naruto, insisting that he learned from Naruto's example to not let one's past define them, and claimed that despite Naruto's lonely and sorrowful life, he was capable of fighting his fate of being deemed a monster, and persevered to become a trusted friend and comrade.

Neji's words helped cheer up Boruto, who decided to continue his training with Naruto and refuse to allow his fears to overwhelm him.

The following day, Naruto and Boruto made amends with each other and began resuming their training. While they began making progress, completing the task still proved difficult.

They were then approached by Sakura, who found adult-Sasuke had a dropped a letter from their future daughter.

While the letter was too smudged to read, she could make out Sasuke's name written on it. As Sakura confronted Boruto on his knowledge on Sasuke, a nervous Boruto simply said his teacher knew a different Sasuke.

After Sakura accepted the answer and left, Naruto and Boruto resumed their training, which ultimately left them exhausted.

They were then approached again by Urashiki. The time traveller quickly began toying with them with his various stolen techniques before subduing them.

Jiraiya and Sasuke to help the kids, but Urashiki easily repelled their efforts, who smugly told them he can perceive the future. Deciding the foe's newest technique was too dangerous, Sasuke tackled himself and Urashiki over the ledge and into a river to let his allies escape.

While tending to Jiraiya's wounds, the group tried to figure out how to deal with Urashiki. Boruto then realised that in the fight, the blood splattered on Urashiki was drying much faster than Boruto's.

After engaging the foe again to test a theory, they concluded that Urashiki's technique lets him warp into the past by several seconds, giving him a pseudo-clairvoyance from his experiences.

During which, Naruto unleashed a continued barrage of clones on Urashiki. While he easily countered the assault with his technique, Urashiki inadvertently poisoned himself from the acidic vapours of the great toad's belly far sooner than the Konoha-nin due to his repeated time-warp.

Once Jiraiya released the summoning, Naruto and Boruto then proceeded to knockout Urashiki with a Rasengan assault. Still defiant, the enraged Urashiki awoke and consumed all his accumulated chakra, along with his very own eyes.

The final result transformed him into a fiendish being of immense physical might. Jiraiya and the two genin were quickly overwhelmed by Urashiki's continued assaults, even with the aid of the returning Sasuke.

Urashiki deliberately held back on Naruto, hoping to anger him enough into unleashing the Nine-Tails' chakra.

His efforts ultimately succeeded and Naruto went into a rampage. Boruto however managed to reach Naruto and together were able to perfect their new collaboration technique.

With the combined effort of Jiraiya and Sasuke, the two kids were able to plough through Urashiki's final attack and obliterate him.

Some time later, after Sumire Kakei resigned from her genin team to join the Scientific Ninja Weapons Team , Boruto joined his friends in a farewell party for the former class rep.

Later, as Hiashi's birthday was fast approaching, Boruto was concerned on what to get his grandfather as a present at his party.

While Kurenai felt she shouldn't pry into such personal matters, she insisted to Boruto that any heartfelt gesture to his grandfather would be greatly appreciated.

From this Boruto decided to swallow his pride for his grandfather and have a family photo, suggesting they do it annually as a present to Hiashi, which indeed was greatly appreciated by the man.

Main article: Mujina Bandits Arc. At the prison, while Sarada posed as a reporter, Boruto and Mitsuki posed as thieves.

Inside, they were assigned to share a cell with Kedama , Kamata and Arai , the former of which informed Boruto what it required to get sent into the medical ward, which was were Kokuri resided.

Consuming a poisonous fruit in order to be sent there, Boruto made contact with Kokuri, and while returning to the prison he discovered Kokuri had been stabbed in the access-restricted ward.

After Boruto was discharged from the ward, he had Mitsuki contact Sarada with his snake to have the warden move Kokuri to their cell for better protection.

After succeeding, they learned that one of the prison's special access cards was missing for three days.

As the guards began looking for it, Mitsuki realised that the card must have been stolen by one of their cell-mates when Boruto was being taken to the medical ward.

Ultimately, they discovered Arai to be the assailant, leading to him being taken away. Later, the team managed to trick Kokuri intro revealing that he had donated the money he stole from the Mujina Bandits, prompting Boruto to promise to get Kokuri to Konoha safety.

Learning of a supply ship that regularly comes to the prison and that a large amount of water would be needed to counter Kokuri's imprisonment technique, Team 7 sabotaged the water line knowing it would force the guards to use a backup line that they could gather water from.

As the night drew closer and there was no sign from Sarada about her part of the mission, the group grew concerned.

Boruto was determined to trust Sarada and move forward with the plan. While Kokuri was concerned by Sarada's lack of communication, Boruto remained steadfast.

On their way to the water tank, the group was attacked by Benga's summon, which Mitsuki was able to defeat. However, the tank had been drained by Benga, who along with his summon was able to catch up with them.

Sarada arrived just in time to save them with information she acquired from Kedama. On the outside, Boruto and the others were attacked by Mujin second-in-command , Tsukiyo.

Using his array of shadow-manipulation techniques, he was able to pressure the genin. Growing desperate, Kokuri gave Boruto a notebook of all the data he had on the Mujina Bandits in case he didn't survive.

As the Konoha-nin began to tire, Kokuri saw through the enemy technique's weakness to light, giving the Konoha-nin the knowledge they needed to overpower and defeat their foe.

In a last ditch effort, Tsukiyo grabbed Kokuri and dragged the man with him off the ledge and into the ocean. Several months later, while Team 7 was on a mission, Boruto kept thinking about his seal.

However he soon regained his senses and managed to defeat the robbers his team were trailing, but in the process ruined their objective of letting one escape in order to track him to his boss.

Afterwards, Boruto bought some Shinobi collecting cards before Lee arrived and told him that Konohamaru required his presence at the Hokage building.

Proud of himself for succeeding, Boruto encouraged him to keep practice to find his own path. Later, Boruto and his team were delighted to be issued their first B-rank mission.

As he was about to prepare for his mission, he noticed the ultra rare trading card he desired was in his pocket.

Determined to save his new friend, Boruto asked Sarada to tell their team he couldn't join them on the mission because of an important matter.

Subduing the other bandits there, Boruto engaged Shojoji in battle, during which his attacks were repelled by Shojoji's Wind Release.

Enraged at his captive attacking him, Shojoji forgot about Boruto, allowing him to knock Shojoji out with his Rasengan. Attempting to defeat him with another Rasengan, Boruto's mark painfully spread, leading to him becoming paralysed and Shojoji becoming horrified at the thought of him being part of a certain organisation.

As Boruto insists he is clueless to such a thing, Shojoji resumes his attack, only to be subdued and knocked out by Mitsuki and Sarada respectively.

Realising that his teammates abandoned their B-rank mission to help him, Boruto apologised to them as the mark receded back into his palm and the pain stopped.

Later, Boruto and his teammates were scolded by Konohamaru for abandoning their mission, insisting that there would be punishment.

Later, Boruto joined his father in a sparring match at the Training Hall , during which all his elemental attacks were absorbed by Naruto, who goes onto defeating Boruto.

Afterwards, Boruto learned that his father replaced his usual prosthetic hand for Katasuke's new jutsu -absorbing invention.

While Boruto was furious at this deception, viewing Naruto as a hypocrite for using such advanced tools in combat after scolding him for doing the same, Sasuke calmed Boruto down.

As Sasuke explained the existence of an organisation, Mitsuki asked if this group had anything to do with Boruto's mark that he gained from Momoshiki.

While Boruto was furious at Mitsuki offhandedly revealing his secret, Naruto admitted that Sasuke already told them about it, which was another reason Naruto approved the development of this advanced weaponry.

While Boruto stormed off in a huff, Naruto asked his genin team-mates to watch over him should anything happen with his mark.

Mitsuki then talked to Boruto, convincing him to get over his anger and join the mission. Upon arriving at their destination, they unexpectedly encountered Sumire, and later, complete the other half of their mission involving testing out Scientific Ninja Tools.

Afterwards, Boruto was greeted by Chamaru , who Boruto was happy to see again. He surprised however to see the friendly dog's prosthetic leg.

Akita Inuzuka explained how it was thanks to Katsuke that both Chamaru could walk again and she found her passion for science.

Amazed at how much Katsuke truly was endeared to helping Konoha and its people, Boruto decided to let got of his anger at the scientist.

Boruto's team then receive a call from the Seventh Hokage, noting that Konohamaru and his partner Mugino went missing during a mission nearby, and tasked them with searching for the pair.

Accompanied with Katasuke, they found Konohamaru's last known location, at a crash site of a blimp. While investigating, they are attacked by autonomous puppets, which Katasuke subdues, giving the team the chance to destroy them all.

Shortly after, they encounter Ao, who questions them on what they learned inside the blimp. Attempting to silence them, Ao attacked the group and stole one of Katasuke's gauntlets , which he used to absorb Boruto's Rasengan.

Mugino then held Ao down long enough to collapse the cave on him and Ao to save everyone, however, Ao survived, prompting the team to retreat.

Afterwards, Konohamaru insisted that they had to return the data he found on the blimp to Konoha, which Katasuke offered to act as a divergence to atone for his mistakes of leaking information.

Boruto, realising that the scientist was ashamed of his inventions, reminded Katasuke that he too hated such tools at first, but learned that all tools are either good of bad depending on how they are used.

Devising a plan to defeat Ao, Team Konohamaru began their counterattack, during which Boruto fooled Ao into picking up his extreme chakra-draining blade and weakening him.

Breaking free of their trap, Ao attempted to absorb Boruto's oncoming Rasengan with his gauntlet, leading to Boruto using Katasuke's other gauntlet and cancelling out the effect of Ao's, giving him the opportunity to strike Ao's gauntlet and destroy it.

Cornered, Ao used his Mirror Drones , leading to Konohamaru sacrificing himself to save Boruto from their attack.

Being barraged by their Jutsu Bullets, Boruto used his sphere to absorb the attacks. Afterwards, he creates clones, and has one of them equip his gauntlet in order to fool Ao.

When the Clones are all defeated, Boruto revealed himself and picked up his Chakra Blade to slash through Ao's artificial limbs, before defeating him with a Rasengan.

Years before Boruto Uzumaki 's fight against a man named Kawaki, the young Boruto and Shikadai Nara ride on top of a train with the latter reminding Boruto that tomorrow is their Academy entrance ceremony.

Boruto sees a boy being bullied and defends him. They talk about their fathers with the boy, Denki Kaminarimon, revealing his father is a billionaire businessman in charge of Konoha's train system.

Boruto encourages him to stand up to his father. Boruto returns home and is unsurprised to hear that his father, Naruto , is not home. Meanwhile Denki tries to stand up for himself but his father rejects him, saying Denki will win his approval by being strong.

The next morning, Boruto is running late for the ceremony and sees Denki being controlled by an evil aura.

Denki lures the bullies on a broken train and sends it driving towards another train with the intent of scaring them. Boruto intervenes and snaps Denki back to his senses, and manages to avoid the collision.

However the train ends up crashing into Hokage's stone face. The two become friends as they attend the Academy the next day. After having been suspended for two weeks for nearly destroying the Hokage face monument, Boruto begins his education at the academy.

Once starting in the academy, Boruto starts clashing with an older student named Iwabe Yuino who has been picking on Denki.

This causes the two of them to have a one-on-one battle during their break. Shikadai realizes he has been too harsh with his classmate Metal Lee, who is always nervous when in front of other students.

After Shikadai consults his father, Shikamaru Nara, he decides to apologize to him. However, the next day, Lee is possessed by the same dark aura that affected Denki.

He attacks his classmates as Boruto's right eye notes a strange change with his chakra. After succeeding at making Lee recover, Shikadai and Lee become friends.

When Boruto and Sarada Uchiha start antagonizing each other, causing their teacher Shino Aburame to suggest his students in engaging in a battle divided between sexes.

A new student named Mitsuki joins the academy. While friendly, he is often considered too dangerous due to his refusal to hold back during sparring sessions with his classmates.

Meanwhile, Shino starts seeing himself as a failure to his class. Shino is possessed by the dark aura, hits his breaking point, and fights Boruto with Shikadai and Mitsuki being trapped in the forest.

However, Mitsuki is hiding something that is not yet known to the other two. After Shino comes back to his senses, he saves Mitsuki and Boruto from drowning and reports back to the Hokage's office.

Naruto realizes a dangerous situation is brewing and orders Shino to investigate. While walking down the streets, Sarada, Chocho and Sumire realize that someone is tailing them.

As they cannot find anyone, they assume that someone is stalking Chocho. But, on the next day, when that person tries to stalk them again Chocho catches him.

At that moment Boruto, Shikadai and Mitsuki are nearby so they go there after hearing the stalker's scream. The stalker turns out to be Magire, a student from another class who has a crush on Sumire.

So, Chocho pushes him to propose to her but Sumire politely rejects him. At the academy, Magire kidnaps Sumire, so Boruto and the others go to save her.

Upon meeting him on the roof, Boruto sees the same mysterious shadow around him, and hence plans to knock him out but finds it difficult due to Magire's disguise Jutsu.

Magire reveals that Sumire was the only girl who ever talked to him, but Chocho makes him realize that the reason why people didn't talk to him was because of his own weakness.

Boruto observes that the shadow around Magire disappears without needing to defeat him. Despite that, Magire faints afterwards.

At the Hokage's office, Naruto receives reports of people losing chakra for some unknown reason. Boruto goes to watch a ninja film with Shikadai, Iwabe, and Denki.

Boruto talks to Shikadai about the mysterious shadow that only he can see. Shikadai advises him to tell the elders about it but Boruto plans to handle this matter all by himself.

Later, Boruto makes three Shadow Clones of himself to discuss about the mysterious shadow with himself but in the end gets confused and questions whether he really saw the shadow or was it just him hallucinating.

His clones also advise him that he should tell the elders but Boruto still wants to solve this himself. In a dream, a mysterious man tells him that he will shoulder the fate of world with his eye.

After waking up Boruto sees his eye in a mirror and believes that he has awakened the Byakugan. Naruto gets tired because of work so Shikamaru comes to drop him home only to find Boruto acting like the ninja movie's hero.

Boruto tells everyone that he has awakened the Byakugan but Naruto says that he never trained enough to awaken the Byakugan. Instead, Hinata tells him to meet her father, Hiashi.

Naruto takes Himawari and Boruto to the Hyuga's place where they meet Hiashi, who also admits that even in the Hyuga clan not everyone can awaken the Byakugan but offers to personally spar with Boruto to check its validity.

Hiashi plans to have a match with Boruto to find out whether he has really awakened the Byakugan but Hanabi offers to fight him instead, stating that he will not hold back against Boruto.

The match between Hanabi and Boruto commences and Boruto quickly gets defeated by his aunt, even after using his shadow clones.

Boruto asks for another match with Hanabi but gets defeated again after trying very hard. Hanabi does not see any signs of Byakugan during their matches so she assumes that he did not awaken the Byakugan yet.

Hiashi asks Naruto and the others to stay at their place that night because Boruto gets exhausted. Later, after dinner, Naruto and Hiashi have a private talk about Boruto, and Naruto tells him that he believes in Boruto even though he did hasn't awaken the Byakugan yet because Boruto would not be trying so hard if he was lying about it.

Hanabi goes to talk with Boruto while he recalls his dream. Boruto tells her that Naruto and the elders probably think that he is lying.

Hanabi admits that she does not know about what the others are thinking but promises him that she will help him whenever he needs her help.

The next day, Boruto goes to the market because he did not eat his dinner properly, where he meets Sarada. While he talks to her, he spots a person with the mysterious shadow.

So, he goes after him only to discover that this person is "Kagemasa", the hero of the movie he watched in the previous episode.

He discovers that Kagemasa had become chubby which had caused the production company to cancel his film's sequel. Boruto fights Kagemasa, and as he is about to get defeated by him, Sarada comes to save him and they defeat him together.

The next day, at the academy, Boruto tells Shikadai and Mitsuki that he will not be able to prove that he has awakened the Byakugan but he will continue to look for a way to make everyone believe him.

Boruto has been skipping classes at the academy along with Shikadai and Mitsuki to find someone possessed by the mysterious shadow, only to learn his mother Hinata learned about it once he got home.

The next day, Hinata meets Shino at the academy where he lectures Boruto that he will end up in the after-school tutoring sessions if continues to skip classes.

Later, Shino tells the class that they will be doing work experience, and students have freedom to select any workplace they want.

Boruto, Shikadai, and Mitsuki select the Post Office as their workplace as this allows them to roam around the village to find the mysterious shadow.

Then, after delivering some mail, Boruto meets Naruto and Naruto tells him to deliver the mail with care; Boruto disregards this.

Mitsuki tells the team that he has found someone possessed by the mysterious shadow on the other side of the village, the effort to reach the other side of town drains their chakra.

At the Hokage's office, Sai reports Naruto that he has found evidence of the uses of Wood Style at the locations where people are getting possessed, and suggests that members of the disbanded Foundation could be behind this.

Naruto advised Sai to be careful about this if members of the Foundation are involved. Later while Naruto is packing spare clothes for the office, Hinata helps him pack while he tells her that because he spent his childhood without a father, he does not know how to act like one; Hinata assures him that Boruto understands his feelings.

The next day, when Boruto, Shikadai and Mitsuki return to the Post Office, the Bureau Chief Komame tells them of the complaints he received from all the places where Boruto delivered mail yesterday; punishing the group with counting stamps.

Later, Boruto watches the news which shows a person possessed by the shadow. Boruto sees that the person has barricaded himself in the Water Purification Plant where Sumire and the two other girls from his class had gone for their work experience; Boruto rushes to save them.

The episode starts out in the hospital where the Class Representative is recovering from her injuries with many people from the class visiting her for well-wishing.

Naruto shows up and leads Boruto and his friends to another part of the hospital where the man who was possessed by the shadow is in intensive care.

The three of them return to the post office to continue their part-time jobs as delivery boys. On the route, Mitsuki informs Boruto and Shikadai that there has been another shadow attack.

They go to investigate, but they are always just behind the village police who are now investigating the matter. The rest of their class shows up at the post office to help, and they run off; however, the minute they leave the shadow appears and possesses the post master, sending him into a rage.

The group reappears instantly because they knew the shadow would strike there only to find the person controlling the shadow.

In his state, the post master complains about how the job is worthless and he gets no respect for it, but Tayori reminds him that every piece of mail has a recipient waiting for it which calms him down enough to catch him off guard.

Despite their efforts, the person controlling the shadow escapes. Boruto and his classmates cheerily clean up the post office after the big fight.

A couple of shadowy figures talk about how they need the negative chakra from people to awaken an entity called "Nue".

The class do a training exercise and Boruto's team is the only one in the class that cannot complete the exercise because Denki left behind and Boruto goes to help him.

Shino announces that the whole class failed in the training because all of them abandoned their teammates in order to win.

Denki tells Boruto that there are not any incidents happening lately, and Inojin says that they should stop searching for the culprit because the elders are already after him but Boruto still wants to find the culprit.

Mitsuki realizes that everyone gravitate towards Boruto and Inojin explains that it is probably because Boruto does not want everyone to see him only as the son of Hokage, and tries to do things his own way.

Mitsuki goes to visit Sumire at the hospital and asks her about her thoughts on Boruto. Sumire tells him that Boruto causes a lot of trouble at the academy but it is fun when he is around.

She reveals that she is an orphan. Later, Mitsuki goes to Boruto's home and Hinata informs everyone that Naruto is also coming to dinner at home that night.

Boruto takes Mitsuki to his room where he sees photos of Naruto and starts bragging about him and then asks Boruto if he likes Naruto or not but Hinata calls them for dinner before he can answer.

Naruto arrives home to dinner and meets Mitsuki at the dinning table, and Mitsuki tells Boruto that he resembles Naruto. As they are about to start eating, Naruto suddenly stops because his shadow clone gets a report from Shikamaru that a strong chakra is spreading across the village and he needs to go.

Boruto gets mad at him and runs away from home with Mitsuki rushing after him. Mitsuki tells Boruto that he thinks Boruto likes Naruto but Boruto says that he hates the Hokage for abandoning his family because of his work.

Mitsuki tells him that he knows the identity of the person who is behind all the incidents that happened until then. Sai comes to know the reality behind Danzo's fail safe and the culprit's name.

Mitsuki and Boruto are having a conversation regarding if Sumire is the actual person to cause all the ghost incidents.

Meanwhile, Sumire is found by Sai and his squad and is being captured with a sealing technique, but she lets Nue out and escapes in the chaos caused by him.

Sai, Kakashi Hatake , and Naruto try to stop the summoned Nue using Mud Wall and sealing barrier techniques, but it does not help. Mitsuki gets the order to kill Sumire and he leaves to stop her.

When he encounters Boruto, Mitsuki stops him with his clone and moves ahead. Sumire and Mitsuki have a brief fight, until they are interrupted by Boruto.

A strange light then appears from Boruto's right eye, which teleports him and Sumire to an unknown dimension. After Boruto defeats Nue, Mitsuki starts battling Sumire.

However, Boruto forces the two of them to stop fighting, suffering a wound in the process while his statement of Sumire has been their friend at the academy convinces her to surrender.

Afterwards, the three return to Konoha where Sai takes Sumire promising the children she will not get hurt. Boruto notices that the mysterious power in his eye is not activating for some weeks.

Sai tells Naruto and Shikamaru that Sumire has confessed everything and the fact that she stops for her friends' sake.

At the academy, Shino tells the students that they will forming three man teams with different classmates for a training exercise. Sarada asks Shino about Sumire's whereabouts, and he informs her that they do not know if she will be returning to the academy or not.

Boruto and Mitsuki asks their friends to form a team with them but all of them have already formed a team except Metal. Shikadai reveals that the Leaf Police have taken over the case so they cannot do anything to bring Sumire back.

Principal Iruka informs Shino that Sumire's report has come and she is under surveillance right now, but Shino decides to visit her.

Boruto goes back home and is surprised to see Naruto at home. He asks Naruto to let Sumire free but Naruto says that even if he is the Hokage, he cannot just let her go after all that happened.

But Naruto ensures him that he will not let him down. Shino visits Sumire and she tells him that she should take responsibility for what she had done, but Shino says that the Gozu Tennou is no longer inside her body so she can rethink about her decision.

The next day, the training exercise starts and Shino runs from there after hearing some information about Sumire. After completing the training, Boruto asks about Shino and Sarada tells him that he rushed off after hearing some news about Sumire.

Inojin also says that Sumire might be transferring to another school, but Shino returns with her. Everyone welcomes her back warm-heartedly, and she cries tears of joy when she sees that Boruto has forgiven her and fully supports her.

But instead, Sasuke tells Naruto to apologize to Sakura in his place. Toneri is shown on the moon mumbling about the Gozu Tennou.

Momoshiki is shown ordering Kinshiki to do preparation for departure. Denki fails to walk on a wall at the academy, and all his friends tell him the concept of chakra in their own way but he does not understand anything and says that he does not want to repeat like Iwabe.

Iwabe hears that but does not argue with him. Denki tries to walk on wall and Metal comes to help him in his training, and they start rock climbing but Denki falls and Lee comes just in time to save him.

Lee is very happy to see him training very hard because he cannot use Ninjutsu and present him a outfit similar to his own outfit.

Iwabe on the other hand having problem in his studies, sees Denki trying to walk on wall and goes to meet him and tells him to focus his mind to use chakra and Denki is able to walk on wall.

On their way back to home from the Academy, Denki offers his help in Iwabe's studies but he rejects saying that he does not want any of his friends to repeat a year because of him but Denki says that he wants to pass with all of his friends including Iwabe and Iwabe accepts his help in studies.

Denki suggests Iwabe to stand on roof using chakra while studying because he realizes that Iwabe concentrates better when he is using chakra, and Boruto brings burgers for all of his friends and their mouth burns after eating the burgers because they are so spicy.

Later, when Denki and Iwabe are going to the Academy to take the test they see a building burning and Iwabe hears a woman saying that her kids are still in the building so he goes to save them leaving Denki alone.

Boruto at the academy gets worried that they did not come because of his spicy burgers. Iwabe finds the children in the building but cannot find an exit, so he starts fixing the sprinklers.

Denki after waiting so long decides to go after Iwabe and gets into the building. But when he reaches Iwabe he has already fixed the sprinklers.

Iwabe asks him to carry a child out of the building. Iwabe gets mad at Denki after coming out of the building but was happy that everyone is safe.

When they get to the Academy, Shino after getting the information about that incident tells them that they have already passed the test because they have used their skills in real life, and all of their friends including Chocho congratulates them on passing the test.

The episode focuses on Sarada who attempts to retrieve a teddy bear, as she promised her mother she would bring it to a little girl at the hospital in her care, all the while avoiding detection by Boruto and his friends.

She is however unsuccessful. She is able to spot a similar doll but it is sent into the river as part of their ceremony. While retrieving it, she falls in the river and swims to the spot where Boruto and his friends are fishing.

She is however able to deliver the doll and keep her promise. When Himawari falls sick Boruto remembers the day Naruto was officially made the Hokage, and the incidents which occurred that day.

Following in the present with Naruto taking him to Ichiraku ramen as they had made Hinata angry over Himawari's food since she was feeling well now.

There, they meet Cho-Cho and Choji who had come for their monthly Ramen eating competition. Naruto then remembers all the incidents linked with Ichiraku over the period of his life.

Boruto later comes to know of the Legendary Queen of Gluttony and that it was really his mom, Hinata. Boruto defaces the Hokage Mount in order to get Naruto's attention.

In his attempt to get chased, he runs into Sarada, who covers for him. Boruto is quickly caught by Shikamaru, who remarks that Boruto and Naruto are very similar, being father and son, which Boruto resents Shikamaru makes a similar comment about Shikadai and himself.

Sarada wonders how Sasuke would be as a father since she was very young when he left the village and has not seen him much since.

She asks Sakura if Sasuke needed glasses when he was a child, and Sakura's vague answer does little to satisfy Sarada. Sarada decides to look into the Uchiha clan, learning about the Sharingan and how she and her father are the clan's last living members; when she tries to do further research in regard to her father, she discovers that the information is restricted from public access.

Sarada approaches her mother again and asks her if she even is Sasuke's wife. Out of anger, Sakura breaks the ground with a punch, but then she apologizes to Sarada for raising her voice and reassures her that Sasuke's feelings are connected with hers.

Sakura subsequently faints upon seeing their house become demolished from the blow. In an effort to find their family portrait amid the ruins of the house, Sarada discovers that Sasuke's picture is that of a larger one featuring Karin, Suigetsu, and Jugo.

Sarada notices that Karin wears glasses very similar to hers, which further fuels her doubt about her relationship to her mother.

With Sakura in the hospital to recover from the stress, Sarada asks Shizune if she is in fact the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura.

Shizune confirms this but becomes just as vague as Sakura when pressed by Sarada for more information. Sarada and Chocho run into each other at a restaurant, with Chocho revealing that she does not believe she is related to her parents and expressing her desire to travel in order to find her real ones.

Sarada is inspired by the idea and resolves to track Sasuke down and make him tell her everything. In an unknown location, Sasuke emerges from a portal.

He quickly finds himself attacked by an unknown assailant and activates his Sharingan. The mysterious person attacks Sasuke and gets defeated by him.

Despite this, Sasuke is surprised to see that he has the Sharingan in possession. He then disappears from there. At the Hokage's office, Naruto receives a message from Sasuke and calls Kakashi to discuss the situation.

Meanwhile, the person who attacked Sasuke meets someone, tells him about Sasuke's strength and they talk about their intentions of killing Sasuke.

After talking with Kakashi, Naruto decides to meet up with Sasuke himself, and Sarada overhears him saying it, who had come there to ask Naruto about Sasuke's whereabouts.

She decides to chase after Naruto to meet her father. Sarada gets prepared for the journey and waits for Naruto at the village's entrance.

There, she meets Chocho, who also plans to go on a journey to find her real father. Naruto departs and Sarada tries to chase after him but is left behind because Chocho falls halfway.

Boruto comes to deliver a lunch box to Naruto but arrives late, and Sarada asks him to let her deliver the lunch box in his place.

He initially refuses but later agrees because she keeps asking him persistently. Afterwards, when Sarada and Chocho are going after Naruto, the person who attacked Sasuke earlier gets in their way, introduces himself as Shin Uchiha and asks Sarada to come with him.

She refuses to go with him and he attacks them, but Naruto comes to save them and fights him using his Tailed Beast form, much to everyone's surprise.

Shin then retreats from there after acknowledging that he cannot win against Naruto. Sarada is worried after the incident, and Naruto assures her that he will protect her.

Sarada delivers the lunch box, and Naruto decides to take them with himself for their safety. They eat their lunch, and after that Naruto tells them about how he sees Sasuke as his rival and how Sarada's appearance resembles Sasuke's, while her presence resembles Sakura's, such as her scary attitude when she gets mad.

They continue their journey, and just when they are about to reach the tower where Naruto arranged to meet up with Sasuke, Chocho gets tired and Naruto tells Sarada to rest for a few moments, but she makes an excuse and goes to meet Sasuke without Naruto and Chocho.

Her eyes transform into the Sharingan because of the strong emotions of happiness that she feels from finally getting to meet her father.

When she enters the tower, Sasuke points his sword at her because, after seeing her Sharingan, he thinks that Sarada is with the person who attacked him.

Shizune informs Sakura that Sarada has left the village after seeing the picture with team Taka to meet Sasuke with Naruto.

Sakura explains to Shizune that she is worried Sarada might end up getting into conflicts if Sasuke is nearby.

At the tower, Sasuke pierces his sword into a pillar behind Sarada and tries to grab her, but he recognizes her after she calls him "dad".

Naruto shows up with Chocho, and Sasuke angrily asks him why he brought kids along, but Sarada tells him that she purposely followed Naruto to meet him, as she wants to know whether Sakura is her real mother.

Meanwhile, Shizune gets to know from Sakura that Sarada has awakened her Sharingan a long time ago. Sakura informs Shizune that she does not want Sarada to find out her father was an enemy of Konoha in the past, this being the reason why she did not tell her about the others in the photo with team Taka.

Sarada complains to Sasuke that he has never been around and that her mother never tells her anything.

Sarada asks Sasuke about the woman in the picture Karin and his reason for abandoning his family for so long, but he replies simply that she has nothing to do with it.

After hearing his answer, she cries out and leaves the tower, and Naruto asks Sasuke if it would not be better to let her know about the reason behind his absence.

Both reminisce about the time when Sasuke left Konoha in order to stay vigilant in case a threat similar to Kaguya came, as such a menace would bring global harm.

Back then, Sasuke decided to keep his mission a secret, even at the cost of his daughter's possible future resentment. Naruto then leaves the tower and tries to comfort Sarada.

Later, a mysterious person talks to Shin about his plan to revive Akatsuki and prepares to attack everyone at the tower along with several people who look like Shin.

That person uses blades to attack Naruto, who foils the attack using Kurama's chakra. Then, Sasuke joins the fight and tries to defeat the enemy using Fire Style.

The enemy uses Shin as a shield. He then introduces himself as Shin Uchiha and tells everyone present about his plan to revive Akatsuki using Sasuke's Sharingan.

Sasuke asks Naruto to protect Sarada and decides to fight Shin alone. Accordingly, Sasuke realizes that Shin marked his sword in their fight earlier.

Because of Naruto's injury, Kurama's chakra fades, and Shin attacks Sarada with his blades, but Sasuke comes in their way to protect her, injuring himself in the process.

Shin stops Sasuke's movements through the blades piercing Sasuke's body. Shin moves to take Sasuke's Sharingan, but Sakura suddenly appears and defeats the enemy with a single punch.

Sarada stands surprised at former Team 7's resilience and power, realizing that even Naruto's injury has already started healing.

Sakura hugs Sarada and apologizes to Sasuke for not making things more clear to their daughter, but Sasuke tells her that it is his fault.

Naruto grabs both older and younger Shin and drags them toward himself. As they are about to get near Naruto, Shin's mysterious creature begins teleporting Shin and Sarada to his place, but Sakura pushes her daughter out of the way and is teleported instead of her.

Sakura then ends up in Shin's hideout and finds herself surrounded by more of his sons. In order to find Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto decide to go to Orochimaru's hideout to ask for information regarding Shin's location.

Naruto tells Sarada that there is a chance she will meet the people in the picture there. Meanwhile, in his hideout, Shin explains to Sakura that human beings are bounded by their genes and are simple vessels.

He also mentions how Akatsuki enables the stronger genes to thrive through battles and helps the formation of new Jutsu.

After getting into the hideout, they meet Sasuke's former teammates — Suigetsu and Jugo, who are the current caretakers of the hideout.

Then, Orochimaru appears and meets them with a new, younger appearance. After hearing Shin's name from Sasuke, he takes them to another chamber and explains that Shin Uchiha is one of his old experiments that was used for the right arm of Danzo.

Shin has a unique ability of being transplanted to or injected with anything without any side effects. He also explains why Shin refers to himself as Uchiha, the reason being that he can manifest the Sharingan and is obsessed with the Uchiha name, in particular with Sasuke's brother, Itachi.

On their way out, Sarada asks Suigetsu if he knows the lady in the picture, and he identifies her as Karin. After hearing this, Sarada asks if she is in the hideout, to which Suigetsu replies that she is in another one.

Then, Sarada reveals her doubts about her parentage, shocking Suigetsu and making him ask himself if her suspicions could ever be possible.

The result shows that there is a perfect match, making Suigetsu assume that Karin is Sarada's mom.

Because of this, Sarada feels lied to and fooled by her mother. Realizing how Sarada feels, Suigetsu runs out of the room to prevent further problems.

Naruto sees Sarada crying and comes to her. After Sarada manifests the Sharingan, Naruto shows Sarada her eyes in a mirror. He then tells her to calm down and tries to comfort her, but Sarada tells him that he has nothing to do with her and that he cannot understand how she feels.

Naruto says he is the Hokage and the entire village is his family, which also includes Sarada. Naruto also tells her that the bonds between a parent and a child are not just based on history and blood relations but on the love between them, and he asks Sarada if she can remember any moments that show the love between her and Sakura.

Sarada does this and thinks of several such instances, which depict how Sakura was taking care of Sarada when she was sick, how she reassured her about Sasuke's love for both of them and how she poked her forehead.

After remembering all of these moments, Sarada becomes willing to go and save her mother from Shin Uchiha. After both of them leave the room, Suigetsu gets frightened and hides so that Sarada cannot see him.

Orochimaru comments that Sakura might be dead already, to which Sasuke replies that his wife is not weak. Sasuke then says that his Visual Prowess is recovered and he will take everyone to the hideout in his Susanoo.

Sarada and Chocho are amazed by his abilities. In the hideout of Shin Uchiha, Shin plans to revive Akatsuki by killing Sasuke and taking his Sharingan, as he thinks Sasuke is not worthy of the Uchiha name.

As Naruto and the others are coming to save Sakura, she starts fighting Shin after gaining enough information about his evil intentions of reviving Akatsuki.

Meanwhile, Naruto and the others get confronted by Shin's clones upon their arrival at the hideout. Sarada rushes to save Sakura and Sasuke goes after her, while Naruto faces Shin's clones alone.

Shin attacks Sakura with his blades and successfully pierces two blades into her arm, restricting Sakura's movement.

Afterwards, Shin tries to kill Sakura with a giant shuriken, but Sasuke interrupts him and immediately helps Sakura, much to Sarada's enjoyment.

He then goes after Shin, who lost his right leg, but a clone of Shin gets in his way. Instead, Shin stabs Sasuke along with his clone.

After Sasuke and Sakura briefly look at each other, Sakura runs to the opposite direction of Shin, who sends his blades after her, but Sasuke changes places with Sakura using his Rinnegan and she finally defeats Shin with a single punch.

After that, the clones fighting Naruto come near Shin, but instead of saving him, they stab him with their weapons.

They tell him that they are just following Shin's principles, as his Visual Prowess is no longer powerful, and they believe that it is their turn to get to evolve.

Then, several other clones made by the clones themselves come and start fighting Naruto and Sasuke. The clone fighting Naruto stops after seeing Kurama inside Naruto, and Naruto promises that they will not attack them if they behave.

Sakura hugs Sarada and Sasuke tells Sarada that her existence in the world is the proof of his and Sakura's connected feelings.

Afterwards, all the clones are sent to the orphanage that is run by Kabuto, and upon returning to the village, Chocho sees Choji in his slim form for the first time in her life and her quest to find her real father ends.

She scolds Suigetsu for the mistake he made, as she was just the midwife for Sakura when Sakura went into labour, and tells him that the umbilical cord he used for the test is actually the one between Sakura and Sarada.

She then urges him to go and apologize to Sarada. Sakura confirms to Sarada along with Sasuke that she is their biological child at the dining table.

Next day, Sarada and Sakura see Sasuke off as he leaves for his mission. Before departing, Sasuke pokes Sarada's forehead and, remembering this gesture from her mother, Sarada turns to Sakura and smiles happily.

At the academy, Sarada tells Boruto that she wants to become Hokage in the future. Konoha hosts a summit between the Five Kage, during which Boruto tries to deface his father's statue once again.

Sarada and Sakura place their newly taken family photo in their new home. After this, with her Sharingan now fully unlocked, Sarada trains with Chocho to become Hokage, but she explains that, on her mother's advice, she plans to keep her new power a secret to avoid being targeted in the future.

Konohamaru teaches Sarada more about the Sharingan and tells her she is now his rival toward becoming Hokage. During the summit, Naruto reveals that Sasuke has been using his Rinnegan to investigate the other dimensions and fears that one of them may be harboring dangerous threats.

While the other Kage express concern that the new generation of ninja are not cut out for taking on threats should they be faced with a new war, Naruto reveals his belief that the new generation will manage to surpass them.

Principal Iruka concurs, and before they know it the students are on a cruise ship en route to the Hidden Mist. To the surprise of the students the Mist has been completely modernized, perhaps even more so than the Leaf, and seeing their amazement in the midst of a different village and culture is undoubtedly entertaining.

In typical anime fashion, the girls are charmed by the foreign boys, while the boys are more interested in games and movies.

Iwabe tells a story about his grandfather being killed by the Fourth Mizukage, making a point that the Mist should not be so quick to write off their violent history when the war is still fresh in the minds of their victims.

With Kagura's help, Boruto and his friends manage to save Denki from the Kirigakure's ninjas led by Hachiya.

After this, Kagura confesses to the others that he is the grandson of the 4th Mikuzage, Yagura, and is afraid of wielding his sword because it once drove him to kill many of his classmates.

Meanwhile, Shino, Anko and Mei discuss the issues between Kirigakure and the Land of the Water that could create another war. As the Konohagakure boys befriend Kagura, they wonder why did Hachiya take such methods.

Happy with having obtained friends, Kagura informs the Mizukage Chojuro. Kagura decides to become one of the Seven Ninja Swordsman of Mist, so he starts practicing with the Hiramekarei sword.

Boruto comes to meet him as he calls Boruto to show him the Hiramekarei sword. Boruto congratulates Kagura and assures him that he will become a good leader of the village.

As Boruto is praising Kagura, someone suddenly captured them using Water Style. He then release them and Kagura calls him Shizuma.

Shizuma tells them his plan to start another war by killing Boruto. Kagura tries to change his mind but instead he makes Kagura reminisce the time when he tried to kill a student at the academy, and Shizuma stopped him.

He tells Kagura that the present Mizukage is hiring assassins to kill those who oppose him. After that, Boruto starts fighting Shizuma and when he tries his Lightning Style against him, his subordinates show up to help Shizuma in killing Boruto.

Boruto gets pass through his subordinates using a new technique but Shizuma easily defeats him. Kagura saves him from drowning into the water, and Shizuma tells Boruto that he and the others are Seven Ninja Swordsman of Mist and Kagura is also one of them.

He then orders Kagura to kill Boruto but instead he points out his sword at Shizuma. Kagura then agrees to join the Shizuma's group and asks to spare Boruto's life.

Kagura leaves with the others and Boruto faints because of his injuries. When he wakes up, Sarada tells him that Hachiya told her about him.

He apologizes to Boruto for his earlier actions. Suigetsu is shown in Kirigakure reveling Shizuma's full name Shizuma Hoshigaki. He then disappears as soon as Mitsuki shows up.

Boruto asks Hachiya about the relation between Kagura and Shizuma, and he tells Boruto that Kagura feels indebted to Shizuma because he hurt him in the past.

Sarada plans to tell the teachers about it, but Boruto stops her because he wants to save Kagura himself.

Sarada agrees on the condition that he will let her go with him. Boruto and Sarada convince Chojuro to help them take down Shizuma's gang and save Kagura, but they quickly find out that the "New Seven Swordsmen of the Mist" are not to be trifled with.

Sarada is hit by an explosive attack that drops her through a deep hole into a cave, where she is confronted by Buntan Kurosuki, who wields the sword Kiba.

Sarada's absence leaves Boruto and Chojuro as the only two remaining to take on Shizuma and the other five.

Suigetsu confronts Mitsuki and warns him not to let his origins be revealed by saving Boruto. Shikadai and Inojin eavesdrop on Suigetsu and Mitsuki but are quickly discovered and recruited by Mitsuki to help take down Shizuma.

The Lightning Blade, Kiba the Fang! As Buntan begins pressuring Sarada with her array of Lightning Release techniques augmented by the Kiba, Sarada manages to hold her own with her Sharingan.

Buntan voices both her excitement and disdain at facing the Sharingan, seeing it as not only an unfair lineage trait but also a shortcut to power.

Sarada retorts that Buntan stole the Kiba, but Buntan insists that she earned them and proved to be her father's child by more than just lineage.

As the two continue to clash, with Sarada continuously copying her opponent's attacks, the Konoha-nin realizes that their constant lightning attacks are heating the water around them and creating a mist.

Sarada lures Buntan into the mist with genjutsu and uses the increased hydrogen to set off a large explosion with her paper bomb. Buntan is defeated, but Sarada collapses in exhaustion from excessive usage of her Sharingan.

Meanwhile, Kagura fights Boruto and prepares to strike him down; Chojuro takes down three members of Shizuma's gang and is nearly ambushed before Iwabe arrives to take down the fourth, but the two get caught up in a large explosion.

Elsewhere, Suigetsu gives Mitsuki a scroll, which he believes will help save Boruto. Boruto tries to appeal to Kagura's common sense, but Shizuma's influence keeps Kagura on the attack.

However, Mitsuki intervenes and reveals the scroll he received from Suigetsu: A signed confession from Shizuma's benefactors that they were using assassinations to start a new war.

With his plan exposed, Shizuma attacks everyone with the Samehada. Boruto, Kagura and Mitsuki manage to beat Shizuma, but not before the Samehada fuses with Shizuma to turn him into a monster.

Boruto and company overcome the transformed Shizuma and reunite with Sarada and Iwabe before returning to the hotel.

After forgetting to get Himawari a souvenir — breaking a promise he made to her, Boruto must find a way to regain her faith in him.

He promises her to retrieve his Kirigakure's Water Cinnamon Sweets he "misplaced". He proceeds to a shop recommended by Sarada and plays Shinobi Bout with the shop owner; an old lady.

Boruto can see her cards via the reflection on a shiny jar behind the old lady and decides to tell her about it, forfeiting from the game.

The old lady ultimately gives Boruto the Sweets as a reward for his honesty and he presents it to Himawari. However, one day he suddenly becomes unable to use that technique.

The confused Inojin seeks out his father, Sai, who uses the same technique, but Sai does not give him any advice.

For some reason, Sai then recommends Inojin to participate in a drawing competition aimed at children.

Even though Inojin does well in the competition, Himawari is announced as winner by Sai. Inojin decides to master his mom's Mind Transfer Jutsu and eventually succeeds; But, fails later.

Inojin realizes that he was not able to use the technique, because he lost some thing important to begin with.

He accepts Himawari as his master and tries to learn what he lacks in drawing. Finally Inojin realizes that he lost his love towards drawing which caused him to lose his signature technique and overcomes it with help of Boruto and Himawari.

When Boruto realizes that graduating from the academy could mark the end of his friendships, he organizes a camping trip to solidify their bonds.

Meanwhile, Sakura teaches a skeptical Sarada about how long friendships can last. Prior to the graduation exams, it is decided that the students will take part in a three-person interview to discuss their future plans.

Boruto, who has passed his ninjutsu courses with flying colors, realizes his path toward becoming a "ninja" has been trouble-free and easy.

As the students prepare for their finals, Boruto meets a journalist named Sukea Kakashi in disguise again who is doing a story on them.

Something about Boruto's indifferent attitude about his future as a ninja raises a red flag in Sukea, and he gives Boruto a warning.

After Boruto gets a perfect score in the ninjas' written exam, Kakashi takes interest in testing him. For the next test, the apprentices are tested by Shino, Anko, and Kakashi.

Although Kakashi remarks that Boruto has the potential to become a mid-level ninja Chunin , he states he lacks something to graduate.

After defeating Shino, Mitsuki goes to aid Boruto. Mitsuki and his friends save Boruto from Kakashi and retreat following their defeats.

At night, the group think of a strategy to defeat their superiors while Boruto thinks about his will to become a ninja.

In the morning, all the students manage to trap Kakashi within a barrier while Boruto tries to take the bell from him.

Although they fail, Kakashi states they have already passed the test before, much to the children's surprise.

As a result, Boruto and all of his friends become ninjas. The three-man squads are announced, with Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki assigned to Team 3 under Konohamaru.

Sarada immediately requests a transfer to a different squad, which Boruto also wants. Konohamaru tells them that the only way to change teams is to make a direct appeal to the Hokage.

Elsewhere, Naruto is training the Hidden Leaf Jonin to resist his powers but is dismayed by their apparent weakness. While rushing to find the Hokage, Sarada inadvertently reveals her Sharingan to Boruto.

After meeting up with Mitsuki who has Naruto's location pinned down, they are confronted at a bridge by Mirai, a Chunin and the granddaughter of the Third Hokage, who has been assigned to guard the bridge.

Boruto and Sarada fall into a trap that causes the bridge ropes to snap, but Mitsuki uses his abilities to hold the bridge up — taking him out of the fight in the process.

The other two struggle to overcome Mirai's advanced skills and incessant taunting at first but are told by Konohamaru to acknowledge each other's strengths and use teamwork.

The pair manage to knock Mirai off the bridge and proceed on to meet with Naruto. Upon meeting him, rather than requesting a transfer, the three request that their squad be renamed "Team 7" in honor of the squad their parents were a part of — and hope to one day surpass.

Back at the bridge, Mirai has been left tied up with no one to help her. As Sarada and Mitsuki await Boruto, the former asks the latter what does his aspire to do.

Mitsuki then remembers that time ago was in the care of Suigetsu as he suffered from amnesia but still had ninja skills.

Mitsuki then meets Orochimaru who introduces himself as his parent and goes on a mission with him to recover his memories.

Their enemy is instead revealed to be another "Mitsuki" who reveals that rather than children from Orochimaru, they are experiments.

Wishing to form his own identity, Mitsuki abandons Orochimaru and goes to Konohagakure, interested in Boruto.

Back in the present, Mitsuki tells both Boruto and Sarada that he will always trust them. Team 7 is sent on their first mission.

Their first mission is to expel bandits from a small village called Green Banks. As Konohamaru assures Kiri, leader of the village, that his students are well trained for the mission, the villagers start attacking them in the night.

As Sarada realizes they are trapped in an illusion, Boruto finds one of the enemies but is wounded in the clash. After Mitsuki knocks down the berserker villagers, Kiri is taken down by the enemy.

Team 7 continue their work by going to save Kiri. The kidnapper who was after his deeds is killed by Rogue Ninjas. Konohamaru takes this chance to face them while his three students rescue Kiri and send her back to her village.

However, although Konohamaru is able to defeat his enemy, another Rogue Ninja chases after the young children.

As Kiri has been wounded in the previous clash, Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki decide to work together to let Kiri rest while facing the enemy who is pursuing them.

After taking Kiri back to her village, Team 7 returns to Konohamaru with all its members satisfied with the results.

Konohamaru explains that missions like their first one are rare since they are living in a time of peace. Later that day, Team 7 is assigned to deal with a bank robber.

Boruto is excited about the mission but it turns out to be a timid individual who has barricaded himself inside a bank and strapped a bomb to his chest.

Boruto learns that the man is a former game programmer named Haguruma who was recently fired and he plans to activate the bomb against his former boss.

Boruto manages to talk Haguruma out of it and later requests that Denki get him a job so that he can recover and redeem himself.

A training class on Medical Ninjutsu is to be held, and each team must send a representative. He also wears a similar black rubber band around his left wrist. Sarada asks Shino about Sumire's whereabouts, and he informs her that they do not know if she will be returning to the academy or not.
